I am often asked in clinic what the best combination of creams and oils is to use. It feels like there are so many mixed advice on the best skincare practice.
People differ in how much time they want to spend on the skincare routine. I am definitely a less is more person when it comes to this. I do however make it more part of my self care routine. The products have been designed with this in mind, and essential oils are used not only for the properties on the skin but also on our emotions.
Here is my Monday morning routine
1) Apply a bean sized portion of No.11 Exfoliator to my face, massage in circular motion all over my face. ( N.B this step only needs to be two of three times a week). Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
2) Apply No.5 Face Cream, patting a little extra around the eye area.
3) If it's spring or summer, I now add a suncream. (I will write an article about natural suncreams soon!)
At the end of the day...
4) Melt a pea sized amount of No.13 Beauty Balm in my fingertips and take three deep breaths of it- drop the day off and any dirt with it! Massage over face and neck. Wipe off with warm damp cotton cloth.
5) Apply a few drops of No.3 Rose Oil...perfect for before bed as soothes the soul for a good snooze 😴
Additional steps you can add;
If its winter and your skin is particularly dry- you can add a drop of oil to your face cream in your fingertips and apply.
If I am headed out on blustery walk I pop a bit of beauty balm on my nose, and cheeks to give them a bit of protection from the wind.
